DESIGN
THE PHILOSPHY
A firm belief guides every project at Lisa Clark Design - people over possessions. My philosophy is client centred interior design focusing on functionality, beauty and longevity.

Attention to detail throughout the process including full storyboards, open communication with client and contractors and transparency with fees and billing.
THE PROCESS
DESIGN
This is our first in-person meet and greet! We take an in-depth look into your requirements to establish your needs and wants. I will offer preliminary recommendations and ideas for your space and discuss budget. On-site measurements and photographs will also be taken for re-models. I will also ask to see all of your inspiration images. Expect this meeting to take a few hours at least!
STEP 1 - ZOOM MEET AND GREET
STEP 2 - ESTIMATE AND CONTRACT
After our online meeting, you will be provided with a general estimate for services. Estimates obviously vary on a lot of factors but this will give you a rough idea of fees you may pay. A retainer request will be made and this retainer acts as a contract for services.
After you reach out to me via my website, I will schedule our online meet and greet. Here we can further discuss your project and decide if we are a good fit. The relationship between a designer and client can stretch out for many months (or years!) and ensuring both of our expectations and values align is a super important first step!
STEP 3 - NEEDS ASSESSMENT/PROJECT ANALYSIS
This is one of the most important parts! Getting a functional layout together for a re-model is a long process. I always tell clients not to rush this piece. Several layout options will be provided to you and the collaboration begins! If this is a new build and a floor-plan is already drawn up, I will get involved on the plan review. I also work together with any architect on the project for plan review and another set of eyes! Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
STEP 4 - SPACE PLANNING
Here is where I need a few months to create a one of a kind design for your space! I will begin to solidify each room from floor to ceiling with finishes and custom millwork design, including all corresponding drawings, elevations, details and 3D renderings. All of this information will be pulled together into what I call 'Your Design Bible'. We will meet to review all drawings and plans, and see all the finishes in person. This is often a super fun afternoon for everyone!
STEP 5 - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT AND DETAILS
If I have done my job well, this should be a fairly easy stage. Here is where you, the client, let me know of any changes you would like to see in terms of design or finishes. I find this is normally a pretty easy step but rest assured, you will receive a full set of revisions as required. Your 'Design Bible' will be updated and you and your contractor will be provided with a digital version of your design to keep handy along the way.
STEP 6 - REVISIONS
Many things come up during construction and changes may need to be addressed. I will work closely with you and your trades to ensure proper execution of the project. This may include price change notices and change orders. I am available every step of the way to provide answers and solutions, including site visits and peace of mind. After the dust has settled, I return to stage/install and take photographs of your beautiful new space!
STEP 6 - CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALL
