The design process can vary depending on scope and size of project but is typically comprised of the following steps:

 01- FIRST MEETING & analysis

We take an in-depth look into your requirements to establish your needs and wants. I will offer preliminary recommendations and ideas for your space and discuss budget and timelines.

02- FEE PROPOSAL & contract

After our initial meeting, you will be provided with a fee proposal and contract outlining services that you will be provided.  After a design retainer is received, I will begin your schematic design.

03- SCHEMATIC DESIGN & space planning

Here I piece together your requirements and create a layout that will be efficient and functional and provide you with a conceptual storyboard for your review.  This may include 3D renderings to better communicate concepts.

04-  DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & details

After approval of the schematic design, we will begin to solidify each room from floor to ceiling with finishes and custom millwork, including all of the corresponding drawings, elevations and details.  Samples of finishes will be provided for review.

  05- REVISIONS & bidding

Here I will make any requested revisions to your plans which could include revisions to custom millwork, furnishings or materials selections.  Your final design binder will be delivered to you and you and your contractor can begin obtaining bids on all aspects of your design.

Many things come up during construction and changes may need to be addressed. I will work closely with the clients + trades to ensure proper execution of the project. This may include price change notices and change orders. I am available every step of the way to provide answers and solutions, including site visits and piece of mind.  After the dust has settled, I return to install and photograph your beautiful space!

Special Note:  Lisa Clark Design does experience wait lists at times of up to 6 months.  It is recommended you fill out a Client Intake Form as soon as your project timelines are confirmed.
